At the initiative of Dr. Agustí Colomines i Companys, Associate Professor in the Section of Contemporary History and the Modern World at the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Barcelona, the Josep Termes Chair was established in 2012 and concluded its activity in 2025. It was subsequently transformed into the Josep Termes Circle, in order to continue the research and dissemination work carried out by the members of the Research Group on National Studies and Cultural Policies (GRENPoC), within the Research Group on Political Studies, Identities, Institutions, and Corruption (GREPIIC), affiliated with the Autonomous University of Barcelona and recognized by AGAUR as a Consolidated Research Group (GRC 2021 SGR 00053).
